So Jimmy D..you never did say..which side of the fence are you on? Do you think women are to be subordinate..and what are your views on Paul's admonishing women to be silent listeners and not permitting them to teach men?

I think if you start with the assumption that women do occupy the subordinate position, then scripture references like Genesis 3:16 where as a result of the fall Eve is cursed and 1 timothy 2:9-15 where women are not permitted to teach or have authority over man are amunition for your argument.
However, others take the position that in the new testament Galatians 3:28 is the great equalizer. Which makes 1 Timothy 2 a culturally relative command and not a moral or prohibited activity.
