To me intimacy with Christ is something that is so sacred. The same way I always wanted to have quiet time with the person I love and just enjoy each others presence, I beleive we must do with the Lord. I live day by day trying to be more intimate with him. I try to praise him more, worship him more, speak to him more. My life has drastically changed and it's been rough but lately, I have completely separated myself from friends, TV, movies, radio, and anything that is entertaining to my flesh. I have locked myself in my room and just completely surrendered my heart to the Lord. I must say that since I have been doing that, the devil has tried to put bigger obstacles in my way and more tribulations in my life so that I can stop. But he doesn't know that there is nothing he can do to stop what God once started in my life.

intimacy means..

And when we are talking about..."intimacy with Christ"..that is what comes to my mind...

We are to be sooo intimate with Christ...as a Bride and Groom...as the vine and the branches...it is the divine romance...we are to be In love with Jesus...the Lover of our Souls...the Keeper of our Hearts...everything we are...is in HIm....we are one...and that intimacy with Him..that passion...is in turn...supposed to overflow...and flood the churches...uniting His body...in Him...

Jesus is so awesome! To let us, mere humans, with our stinking flesh, our sin skin, the mere humanity of our fallen state, be so intimate with Him, that He covers us, touches us, and fills us with His Spirit...

Then...to take us into the Holy of Holies, where He is...where true intimacy lies...what is man that God would show us HIs Glory?

We are His bride, and He loves us...and He wants to be intimate with us....

Well, I know that no one has responded to this topic, but here are my thoughts.

Intimacy with Christ... this phrase carries such heavy standing with me. To be intimate with Christ is to be Christ... to follow through with the GREAT COMMISSION... to BE CHRIST to the world and to our friends, family, and even enemies...

What does it take to have an intimate relationship with God? A desire! A desire that says, Lord, I want YOU more than life itself! I want to know you in all of your fullness, and I want to be more like you.

My love for Christ is ever increasing! Just when my peanut brain thinks I know it all, the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus to me in a new light... I JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF YOU, LORD!
