Welcome to ALWOM Message Board : Church Life |
It certainly helps to wait a little while to help everyone make sure that 1) the church is the right one for the person or family, 2) to give everyone the opportunity to know each other, 3) to give the person or family the opportunity to prove that they are committed to a relationship with the people that they will be working with.
It's a wise move.

I think the same way. somemany people think its ok to just bring someone knew in to watch the kids.I think we should think about it befor sayin yes you can do this or that.
The bible says know those who labor among you.....why should some joe who doesbt really love the lord come in from know where and automatically join the church and be in kids ministry///////we have to use the common sence that God gave us...its called wisdom and discernment
I think that this 90 day waiting period has been proposed for a reason. For example I know people in churches that have been put in charge of a ministry for a 90 day trial period. Most individuals know if they are called to that specific ministry within that time.
In essence it makes sense. A lot of people visit churches for many different reasons. This gives a Pastor at least a time to study and get to know the people who will be members of his congregation.
