I've been dealing with forgiveness myself, maybe this will help you. Forgiveness:to excuse a fault, dissolve from payment, cnacel, remit punishment due, let loose, let go, drop it.
Romans 12:14 Bless those who persecute you
Romans 12:17 Repay NO ONE evil for evil
Colossians 3:13 ...forgiving on another as Christ forgave us
MY FAVORITE (Mark 11:25-26)
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, FORGIVE HIM, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But, if you don't forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

You need to do as the Lord prompts you to do... Perhaps your earthly father needs to know the love of his Heavenly Father. Pray that God will lead you to do the right thing. However, no questions asked, you must forgive him... If you do not, then God will deal with you for not... It will be hard to forgive, but if you don't forgive Him, you will regret it.

If your father is not able to makd amends with you, know that your Heavenly Father is always there with open arms to embrace you. He whispers with his gentle voice "Be still my child, for I am here!" And what greater love is there than His? That He would give His son, Jesus, for us?! That is EXTRAVAGANT LOVE! Let your Abba (Daddy) Father hold you in His arms! I promise you that is what he wants to do!
